Push live is able to add a variety of graphics to your stream, to display as a full size slate or as an overlay to output video.

Graphics can be uploaded from the Control Room of a project and apply to the selected Program.

Upload Graphics

Static images, animated sequences of images and videos can be uploaded to be used as Graphics.

Prerequisites

Before uploading graphics, prepare your files noting the following

  • When adding overlays ensure that they are saved as PNG with an alpha channel, if video is intended to be visible behind the overlay

  • See Media File Recommendations for some recommendations on media file types

Upload File or Submit URL

  1. Select the desired Program from the event Schedule

  2. From the Graphics panel select Upload Overlay

  3. Submit an image file or URL to upload

Add Graphics to a Program

Graphics previously added to the project can be added to a program.

  1. Select the desired Program from the event Schedule

  2. From the Graphics panel select Add Item

  3. The Media Library displays. Now click to highlight the desired Graphic then press Select

Hint: hold CTRL or CMD when clicking to select multiple Graphics from the Media Library

Remove Graphics from Program

Select the Graphic to remove, then press Delete on the menu bar

Alternatively, right click the Graphic then select Delete

Settings that apply to an individual Graphic.

Graphics Options

If you right click on the graphic you have imported within the console you are given a window with a number of options. These will allow you to change the parameters of the graphic.

  1. Select the desired Program from the event Schedule

  2. Right click on the graphic or press the three dots on the menu bar below

  3. Select from:

    • Event Logo:

      • Overlays the selected graphic throughout the whole event

      • This applies during all scheduled programs

    • Program Logo:

      • Overlays the selected graphic during the selected program only

    • Up Next Overlay:

      • Overlays the selected graphic onto the event poster

      • This only applies if there is a gap to the next program

    • Download:

      • Downloads the selected graphic to your local computer

    • Delete:

      • Removes the graphic from the current program

Overlay Details

  1. Select the desired Program and Graphic

  2. Press Edit Template

  3. Set the options as required

    • Title: Choose a new title for the Graphic

    • Animation In: Choose the animation option and time for the Graphic, when appearing

    • Animation Out: Choose the animation option and time for the Graphic, when ending

    • Duration: Time for the Graphic to stay static on screen

Remember to Save changes when finished editing Overlay Details

Trigger Graphic during a Program

  1. Select the desired Program from the Schedule

  2. Select the desired Source from the Source window, or right click the Program and select Show Source

  3. Move the playhead to the desired trigger position
    This must be before the current point in the Output window

  4. Select the Graphic

  5. Press the Play button in the menu

The Graphic renders over the video for the period specified in Overlay Details

Graphics cannot be triggered for a time before the current output time
