Sources can be set up to allow you to send live video data into your Event.

Sources can be managed from the Projects tab in Control Room.

Adding or Editing a Source

  1. From the project Control Room, select the relevant Event from the list of events

  2. To the top right of the Source panel, select the + icon

  3. Select Add Source, or update an existing Source

  4. Fill out the displayed options:

    • Title: Descriptive title for the Source

    • Source Type: See the Source Types table below for detail on each option

    • Dave Active: Specify start date time and end time for the source

      • Automatic: This is selected by default and will start the source 1 hour before the Event start time, then stop the input source 1 hour after the Event end time. Untick the box to override the default times

Remember to click the Save Changes button after adding or editing a Source

It will take up to 5 minutes for an Input Source to become available after the defined start time

Source Types

Type

Description

Named Source

Allows selection from a list of predefined RTMP URLs. These can be maintained from Account settings

Upload to RTMP Server

Allows specification of a new RTMP endpoint to send a stream to. Domain push.live must be specified

Consume an RTMP or HLS Stream

Specify a primary and optionally a backup URL for the Source to consume

Simulated Source

This simulates a source and is not relevant to real events

Deleting a Source

  1. Choose your project and click the + icon from the top right of the Source screen.

  2. Now look for the three vertical dots on the right hand side of the pop up:

  3. Click these dots to reveal the following options:

    Select Delete to remove the Source

Remember to click the Save Changes button after deleting a Source
