There are a few important tips to remember before starting to configure a Project and Event in the PUSH Console.

Confirm framerate of Live Sources

Confirm the framerate of any live sources that will be sent into the Console.

For example, many sources will be around 30fps (frames per second), but higher quality footage and gaming events may be shot at 60fps.

The framerate is set when creating a Project in the Push Console and can only be changed prior to live sources or output render has starting

Get posters, video and overlays ready

If the event has any pre-recorded video or will use overlays, these will need to be uploaded in advance.

Create poster images, video and overlay content to be provided to you in advance.

Try to have all assets uploaded in advance so they can be checked during a rehearsal

Test or rehearse before the main Event

It is a good idea to run tests or a rehearsal before the main Event.

A test is useful to confirm live sources are received correctly to the provided ingest URLs and to confirm assets are working correctly within the Project.

Also consider setting up output Distributions prior to the show and test them by scheduling a rehearsal of the show ahead of the event.

Plan the Event times and Program Schedule

Confirm the time and schedule of any rehearsal and main Events to take place.

Note you are able to change start times and the Program Schedule if there are any changes.

Try to make sure the Event and it’s Program Schedule have been configured at least 30 minutes prior to the show start time
